Perpetual motion machine:
Stanley Meyer’s Water fuel cell
Disciplines Physics and engineering
Core Tenets The device is designed to produce hydrogen and oxygen, from water using electricity, by a method other than simple water electrolysis.
Original Proponents Stanley Meyer
Theory violation First law of thermodynamics[1][2]

The water fuel cell is a purported perpetual motion machine invented by American Stanley Allen Meyer (August 24, 1940 – March 21, 1998). He claimed that an automobile retrofitted with the device could use water as fuel instead of gasoline. The fuel cell purportedly split water into its component elements, hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen was then burned to generate energy, a process that reconstituted the water molecules. According to Meyer, the device required less energy to perform electrolysis than the minimum energy requirement predicted or measured by conventional science.[1] If the device worked as specified, it would violate both the first and second laws of thermodynamics,[1][2] allowing operation as a perpetual motion machine.[2] Meyer’s claims about his “Water Fuel Cell” and the car that it powered were found to be fraudulent by an Ohio court in 1996.[1][3]

[edit] The term “fuel cell”
The circuit[4]

Throughout his patents[4][5][6] and marketing material,[7][8][9] Meyer uses the terms “fuel cell” or “water fuel cell” to refer to the portion of his device in which electricity is passed through water to produce hydrogen and oxygen. Meyer’s use of the term in this sense is contrary to its usual meaning in science and engineering, in which such cells are conventionally called “electrolytic cells”.[10] Furthermore, the term fuel cell is usually reserved for cells which produce electricity from a chemical redox reaction,[11][12][13] whereas Meyer’s fuel cell consumed electricity, as shown in his patents and in the circuit pictured on the left. Meyer describes in a 1990 patent the use of a “water fuel cell assembly’” and portrays some images of his “fuel cell water capacitor”. According to the patent, in this case “… the term ‘fuel cell’ refers to a single unit of the invention comprising a water capacitor cell … that produces the fuel gas in accordance with the method of the invention.”[5]
[edit] Media coverage
The water fuel cell[5]

In a news report on an Ohio TV station, Meyer demonstrated a dune buggy which he claimed was powered by his water fuel cell. He estimated that only 22 US gallons (83 liters) of water were required to travel from Los Angeles to New York.[8] Furthermore, Meyer claimed to have replaced the spark plugs with “injectors” which introduced a hydrogen/oxygen mixture into the engine cylinders. The water was subjected to an electrical resonance that dissociated it into its basic atomic make-up. The water fuel cell would split the water into hydrogen and oxygen gas, which would then be combusted back into water vapor in a conventional internal combustion engine to produce net energy.[3]

Philip Ball, writing in academic journal Nature, characterized Meyer’s claims as pseudoscience, noting that “It’s not easy to establish how Meyer’s car was meant to work, except that it involved a fuel cell that was able to split water using less energy than was released by recombination of the elements … Crusaders against pseudoscience can rant and rave as much as they like, but in the end they might as well accept that the myth of water as a fuel is never going to go away.”[2]

There is no documented proof that the system produces enough hydrogen to run an engine. To date no peer review studies of Meyer’s devices have been published in the scientific literature, although his claims have been thoroughly discredited in scientific journals.[2]
[edit] Lawsuit

In 1996, inventor Stanley Meyer was sued by two investors to whom he had sold dealerships, offering the right to do business in Water Fuel Cell technology. His car was due to be examined by the expert witness Michael Laughton, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. However, Meyer made what Professor Laughton considered a “lame excuse” on the days of examination and did not allow the test to proceed.[3] According to Meyer the technology was patent pending and under investigation by the patent office, the Department of Energy and the military.[14] His “water fuel cell” was later examined by three expert witnesses in court who found that there “was nothing revolutionary about the cell at all and that it was simply using conventional electrolysis”. The court found Meyer guilty of “gross and egregious fraud” and ordered him to repay the two investors their $25,000.[3]
[edit] Meyer’s death

Stanley Meyer died suddenly on March 21, 1998 after dining at a restaurant. An autopsy report by the Franklin County, Ohio coroner concluded that Meyer had died of a cerebral aneurysm, but conspiracy theorists insist that he was poisoned to suppress the technology, and that oil companies and the United States government were involved in his death.[1][2][15] Meyer’s patents are still available online,[16] although there has as yet been no independent verification of his claims.
Schuyler Ebbets.
This article gives great credit to a wonderful inventor.

Schuyler Ebbets
Stan Meyer water car using electrolysis to produce Hydrogen and Oxygen (HHO)

There are not words to describe the magnitude of this tragedy. It is the greatest injustice in history as it effects all of humanity and the earth. This catastrophe exceeds the burning of the Royal Library of Alexandria in the fourth century A.D., which set back the industrial revolution by a thousand years.

This scientific advancement is greater than the discovery of electricity by Benjamin Franklin, greater than the day Edison switched on his Pearl Street generating station’s electrical power distribution system changing our world forever. It surpasses the achievements of Nikola Tesla who’s patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern alternating current and helped usher in the second industrial revolution.

This one invention dwarfs all preceding achievements because it undoes all of the evil and destruction and human enslavement, which has resulted from man’s past relationship with science and technology. It would have completely eliminated global warming as it relates to the burning of fossil fuels. It would have ended the destruction of pristine environments in the quest for oil, like those in southern Africa, South America, and Alaska. It would have made dirty, dangerous, and inefficient nuclear power even more obsolete and ridiculous than it already is. More energy is required to produce nuclear fuel rods than they produce when a nuclear power plant is in operation. This new technology produces infinitely more power than it uses because it’s fuel is water.

Imagine a world where wars fought over oil are no longer necessary. The mass killing of millions of men, women, and children by America in it’s quest for oil would no longer be necessary. It would not be necessary to buy expensive gasoline, purchased with your labor and the blood of innocents. An ordinary car converted to run on water would be virtually free to operate except for the cost of mechanically maintaining the car.

This one invention by a gifted soul would have saved our ecosystem and turned our genocidal civilization into a utopia. But tragically and unjustly it is not to be. In order for humanity to climb out of their self imposed pit of pollution and war, the wealthiest among us must overcome their greed and lust for power.

The people who are raping and murdering our planet will not suddenly awaken and realize that water is a far superior fuel source. It is easier and more profitable for them to attack country after country, killing and enslaving the people, and stealing their oil. After all this has been the barbaric behavior of human kind since we first emerged from the caves.

The corporate elite who now hold a noose around the collective neck of humanity tell us to accept our fate and not struggle, the noose will only grow tighter. More people die, our planet’s atmosphere heats up and the destroyers of life become richer and more powerful. It can only end with a damaged ecosystem and millions of dead human beings. It will end with melted ice caps, coastlines under water, and weather so cold and erratic that food is extremely difficult to grow, and in America as with the rest of the world, people will starve to death.

This is what awaits you and your children. You have given over your destiny and your planet to corrupt corporations and the people who own them. The ruling elite have decided that the earth’s population has become too large and now threatens the quality of life for them and their offspring. Disruption of the eco system will aid them in culling the herd. Of paramount importance is their power and wealth, and the survival of their self serving dynasties. Half of humanity will die so that a privileged few can continue their homicidal reign on earth. For them it is better to rule in a hell of their own making than to live as ordinary men on a peaceful and beautiful planet.

Stan Meyer was our technological savior. He said that America had become too dependent on oil and he wanted to change that. Although he had no formal education having quit high school, Stan Meyer was an inventive genius and his ideas were revolutionary. Using his amazing intellect for good rather than personal gain, he intended to help humanity. He wanted to free us from our enslavement to the oil companies. He wanted to stop global warming. He was bound for the greatest glory that any person has ever known. He would have been the man who shattered humanity’s oil dependency forever, ushering in a new dawn of prosperity, freedom, and hope for all except the greedy maniacal few who profit from selling oil and war.

His water powered car was better than an electric car because without numerous solar panels and plenty of sunlight they too must be charged by electricity produced ultimately from fossil fuels. Stan’s car was far ahead of General Motors hydrogen car, which simply burned hydrogen stored in a fuel tank which had also been produced with power generated by fossil fuels.

Stan found a way of using only half an amp of electricity to fracture water molecules separating the oxygen and hydrogen on demand. As the hydrogen was produced it was burned creating combustion more powerful than gasoline, and water was the only significant exhaust emission. Stan Meyer’s water engine technology could easily have been developed to power planes, ships, trains, and spacecraft, completely eliminating our need for oil.

Stan Meyer said he trusted in angels to protect him, but in March 1998, Stan was poisoned and died in the parking lot of a restaurant in his home town of Grove City, Ohio. According to his brother Steve, the U.S. Government came to Stan’s home a week after his murder and confiscated his car, which got 100 miles per gallon of water, and they stole all of his research equipment which he had used to develop the new technology.

Stan had been threatened many times and would not sell out to Arab Oil Corp. Stan said he was offered a billion dollars from an Arab to basically shelve his idea but he said, “No, this technology is for the people.”

With all the billions of cars in the world, how many people do you think know how the car’s motor works

to move them around the planet? Actually a small percentage take advantage of that knowledge. Most

leave that sort of thing to a mechanic. Many people feel the engine compartment is too complicated to

understand without years of experience. And some mechanics prefer that the less you know the better

for their business. Which is fine because people need to earn a living. I say, as long as that mechanic is

going to tell you the truth. But when your vehicle costs you money in fuel , maintenance, etc., you should

know something about how it works. This will save you money and headache in the long run. This will also

help you to know how to improve the performance of the motor. Show you how to save fuel cost.

Here I have put together the start of a series of posts to help you understand how the motor in your car

works. Later we will explore how to save by keeping the motor and the other parts of your car Easily

maintained. As well, in future posts we will explore how to save fuel and to eventually lose our dependence

on oil based products. And if you want to see how your motor works, check this site out.

http://www.animatedengines.com/

So first of all here is a crash course, no, do not crash your car, on how the most common engines work.

The most familiar internal-combustion engines are piston gasoline engines used in most automobiles. In an
engine, the cylinder is housed inside an engine block strong enough to contain the explosions of fuel. Inside
the cylinder is a piston that fits the cylinder precisely. Pistons generally are dome-shaped on top, and
hollow at the bottom. In a four-stroke engine, the piston completes one up-and-down cycle in four strokes:
intake, compression, power, and exhaust. The Diesel Engine Works in a similar way but does not rely
on an ignition system like gasoline.
The first stroke, the intake stroke, begins when the piston is at the top of the cylinder, called the cylinder
head. As it is drawn down, it causes a vacuum in the cylinder because the piston and the cylinder
form an airtight space. This vacuum helps to draw the fuel-air mixture into the cylinder through an open
intake valve, which closes when the piston reaches the bottom of the cylinder.
On the next stroke, called the compression stroke, the piston is pushed up inside the cylinder, compressing
or squeezing the fuel-air mixture into a tighter and tighter space. The compression of the mixture against
the top of the cylinder causes the air/mixture to heat up. Compressing the fuel-air
mixture also makes it easier to ignite and makes the resulting explosion more powerful. There is little space
for the expanding gases of the explosion to flow, which means they will push harder against the piston in
order to escape.
At the top of the compression stroke, the fuel-air mixture is ignited by a spark from a spark plug installed in
the cylinder head, causing an explosion that pushes the piston down. This stroke is called the power stroke
and this is the stroke that turns the crankshaft. The actual time that the Spark plug ignites the fuel-air mixture will vary a little from engine to engine but is generally 15-18 degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center) Where as in a Diesel engine the heat of the compressing fuel-air mixture and the time during the Combustion stroke that the fuel is injected is what starts the Combustion Stroke.
The final stroke, the exhaust stroke, takes the piston upward again, expelling the exhaust gases created by
the explosion from the cylinder through an exhaust valve. When the piston reaches the top of the cylinder,
it begins the four-step process again.

There are two principal types of Gasoline Engines. Motors that are Carbureted and motors that are fuel injected.
Most of all vehicles after the mid 1980?s are Fuel injected. Most of those before the mid 1980s are carbureted.

Carbureted engines mix the Fuel and air as it enters the engine through the intake manifold on the top of the
Engine. One will notice the presence of the carburetor on the intake manifold. Ordiniraly the fuel-air mixture is set with a adjustment screw located on the carburetor and will not vary due to the signals from any sensors that the vehicle may have.
There are two categories of Fuel Injected Vehicles ; Throttle Body Injection and Direct Port Injection, and both types rely on signals from the various sensors in the vehicle for delivery of a specific amount of fuel to acuretly achieve a Fuel-air mixture of 14.7:1, 14.7 parts air to each 1 part fuel, which is the most effective mixture for the engine.
Throttle body injection uses one or two fuel injectors located in the throttle body of the air intake.
According to the various sensor signals received by the Vehicles ECU, a Pulsed signal is sent to the Fuel
Injector to release fuel into the stream of air entering the intake manifold of the engine to complete
Combustion in the cylinder. The cycle of this signal (on time versus off time) does determine how much
Fuel is delivered to the engine.

Direct port injection will be most of the of systems you will find and they work on a similar principle, but
The fuel injectors release the fuel directly into the cylinder for the most effitive distribution of fuel. Direct
Port injected vehicles will have a fuel injector for every cylinder. Each injector will open and close once
Per combustion stroke, and the amount of time open determines the amount of fuel released into the
Cylinder.

There are sensors that affect the amount of fuel that the engine mixes with the air to achieve
The most efficient fuel burn. The MAF Sensor, the MAP Sensor, the 02 Sensor, Air intake Temperature
Sensor all aid in determinating the amount of fuel the engine will mix with the incoming air but the sensors that
We will talk about are the MAP or MAF sensor and the 02 Sensor.
The job of the MAP/MAF sensor is the same but they go about it in two different ways. Their job is
Basically to tell the computer how much air is flowing into the engine. This information is used to calculate how much
Fuel is required for that amount of air. The MAP/MAF sensor is the “starting point” for the air
Fuel mixture. If the MAP/MAF sensor tells the computer that “X” amount of air is coming into the engine,
Then it needs to add “Y” amount of fuel to achieve “about” a 14.7:1 air fuel mixture. The 02 Sensor then fine tunes
The mixture.

Soon we will look into the adding of a hydrogen suplement and how it effects the performance of your vehicle.

Wish I could draw that good. I put it up here because ,I believe, it shows the degree of innovation presented by the owners, Matt and Amy Anderson. In my estimation , the Andersons are very professional in their approach to the Hydrogen on demand Technology. Their products are made of high quality material. Their Kits are complete.
And the Andersons make this technology very affordable.
Their web site http://glacierfuelsavers.com is well designed and easy to get around in.

There is broad agreement that water is the solution to our energy problems and also that petrol dependency of the USA is a national security hazard! Not just the USA – energy dependency is a serious hazard to any nation. The fast growing China is energy starved right now. And China is becoming the
most polluted country in the world.

We offer a cost effective, immediate solution to the “energy crisis” and smog problems – right now. Something YOU can do NOW, using water and simple hardware.

Hydrogen on Demand know-how provides you with a great solution you can install in any vehicle, you start driving, and the next thing you know – you start thinking: “Hey, something CAN be done about it!”

I don’t expect you to believe in water-enhanced vehicles. You see, your belief level has to rise step by step. HHO energy is hard to believe until it’s actually happening under your own hood. Until you see it in your energy bills.
Until you understand how your vehicle is running better, much cleaner, and smooth. I was skeptical that doubling the mileage was possible – until I actually made it happen in my own car.

We not only point you to the Door, We open the door for you.

# First of all, Hydrogen on Demand does NOT change your vehicle’s engine or computer. It is an experimental add-on that can be removed in less than 60 seconds.

# Your car or truck is being damaged right now by unburned fuel!

Hydrogen on Demand technology will help not only eliminate carbon deposits caused by unburned gasoline – but will also steam-clean your engine while you drive! Over the first few days you may notice that the engine becomes smoother and smoother. Then it will level off at a new level – and the engine will continue to steam-clean itself every day while you drive!

# Every Hydrogen on Demand device we’ve installed makes the engine quiet and calm. The engine stops knocking (”pinging”). The simple explanation: The water and hydrogen change the combustion cycle into a more even or “round” cycle. This happens immediately upon installation, and from that moment on, your engine works in a new way. The effect is not only less noise, it’s also less vibration, resulting in reduced strain on the transmission (thus smoother gear shifts), cleaner pistons and valves, and generally better engine operation.

# Water cools down the engine. For years, heavy trucks and ships have been using water injection systems that cost up to $15,000 to cool their engines. These truck/ship owners are very sensitive to maintenance expenses and they know from years of experience that water reduces their breakdowns and overall operating costs. With HHO we do the same thing affordably! Wouldn’t you rather pay as little as $100-$200 to get the same results in your car or truck? Now you can.

# HHO systems widen the torque range and can make the vehicle accelerate faster. After acceleration, you don’t have to press the gas pedal as much to keep going. Carter Blankenship III from Tennessee and Jerry Young from Nevada report that their 18-wheeler big rig trucks pull MUCH better uphill with HHO. Would you agree that less strain on the Detroit Turbo Diesel engine must result in less wear and tear over the life of the engine?
# With all the various guarantee, you can check this technology out for yourself, safely. See for Yourself.

A hydrogen-on-demand system turned this motorcoach into a water-hybrid

With rising fuel costs threatening the lifestyle of thousands of RV owners, the team at Pure One Environmental Inc., based in Santa Ana, California, have installed a six pack of water-converting hydrogen fuel cells under the hood of a local resident’s motorcoach. The results are incredible; they saw a 50 per cent increase in the vehicle’s fuel mileage along with greater horsepower and cleaner emissions.
Two guys standing, one is pointing at the fuel cells on the engine of a motorcoach

Fuel Of The Future: Jim Jordan and Andy Savant (R) , who are the owners of Pure One Environmental Inc., manufactured and installed a hydrogen system on a Monarch motorcoach.—photo courtesy Ken Harris

The technology of converting water into hydrogen, which is known as Brown’s Gas, has existed for more than 90 years. However, the news is that Ozzie Freedom, who is the founder of Water4Gas—a company that is leading the water-fuel movement across the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia—, has simplified the technology and modified it for vehicles. He has compiled the data into e-books, making it available for everyone to use on any type of road-faring vehicle. Freedom’s mission is to put the technology of free fuel into the hands of the everyday consumer.

The Water4Gas technology of hydrogen-on-demand is fairly simple. Take a container of distilled water, add a small amount of baking soda and run 12 volts of electricity through it from your vehicle’s battery when you turn on the ignition. This starts up a process called electrolysis which separates the hydrogen and oxygen atoms in the water and forms a gas called HHO (hydrogen + hydrogen + oxygen). The hydrogen gas gets sucked into the vacuum air intake system of your vehicle where it combines with the gasoline or diesel in your engine and produces a level of combustion that is three times more powerful than gas or diesel alone.

The Water4Gas system is equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell that harnesses the power of hydrogen while the water keeps it stable. Unlike pure hydrogen vehicles with their highly pressurized hydrogen tanks and stations, it’s completely safe. The small amount of water vapour running through your engine keeps it clean by removing carbon deposits.

The Water4Gas system is user-friendly; maintenance involves a periodic refill of the water containers. Installation of the system doesn’t affect the vehicle’s warranty and it can be removed in a matter of minutes.

According to Water4Gas, anyone can turn their vehicle into a water-hybrid by following Freedom’s instructions on how to build to system with parts from local stores. His e-books list every part, the part numbers and where to buy them as well as photos and step-by-step instructions. Automobile owners can also purchase the kit from one of the individuals and companies who manufacture the parts, build the kits and install the system. Over the last few years, the company says thousands of Water4Gas systems have been installed on everything from small four cylinder engines to semi-trucks and RVs.
