In a blow to social travel startups’ hopes of being a “better Facebook for travel inspiration/sharing”, Facebook bragging is helping towards a revival in domestic tourism as more Australians choose local breaks after seeing their friend’s experiences online, research finds. Around 40 per cent of Australians share feedback on their holiday via Facebook, the Tourism Australia survey conducted by Pure Profile found.
